Franco Zeffirelli direct a historical portrayal of the film and Baz Luhrmann order a groundbreaking interpretation of the film. Although, the two films were both truly enjoyable, I corporate trust that Zeffirellis adaptation of the film was more engaging and captured the devour emotions of Romeo and Juliet better than Luhrmanns. Zeffirellis version of Romeo and Juliet was portrayed a shining image of Shakespeares original text. Director Zeffirelli went against the regular precondition of using well-known actors in the lead roles. Nevertheless, the performances of Whiting and Hussey were precise believable. The other characters were also outstanding and their personalities were suitable, with the help of historical costumes. Along with the classic music, tra ditional dancing, Shakespearean dialogues, and mood of the century, Zeffirelli matched Shakespeares intent, meaning and original text very well. The film was very intense and one could feel the affection, grief, rage, and icterus of each character. Luhrmans Hollywood remake of Romeo and Juliet was an exciting combine of original Shakespearean and modern anachronism. Luhrman takes us on a rollercoaster ride of car chases, costume parties, gun fights and love that was articled to fail. The characters were played by famous actors. They were dressed in 20 archetypal century clothes, living on the stunning ground of Verona Beach. Luhrmans anachronism of Romeo and Juliet was to imagine the tragic storyline in a modern perspective and how it would fit into the twenty start-off century.
